Janet is our receptionist at Cuddon. Janet is known for her warm and friendly greetings of customers, clients, and colleagues, both face-to-face and over the phone.
Originally from the UK, Janet, her husband and their two children boldly decided to emigrate to a country they had never visited. With seven suitcases and countless dreams, they arrived in Christchurch, took a small plane to Blenheim. Despite their initial uncertainty, they quickly fell in love with their new home. Nearly twenty years later, they proudly consider themselves locals, albeit with Scottish accents.
Family is at the core of Janet's life. She takes immense pride in being a mother to her son and daughter and a grandmother to her two grandchildren. Her husband, Peter, also works at Cuddon.
Before joining Cuddon, Janet held customer-centric roles at NZ Post/Kiwibank as a customer services officer and AMI as a receptionist. She also worked as a teacher's aide and receptionist at St Mary's School in England.
Away from work, Janet loves going away in their caravan, reading, and relaxing by the pool under the sun. She has a great sense of humour and an adventurous spirit, evident in her fun fact - she once survived a bomb scare at her wedding reception! The scary incident became an impromptu car park party, making local news headlines.
At Cuddon, Janet cherishes the family-owned, friendly, and caring work environment. She loves how the company cares for its staff and is actively involved in the community. She also appreciates the diversity of work at Cuddon and enjoys working with colleagues of all ages.
